Multi award-winning artist Catherine Alcorn, is one of Australia's most in-demand entertainers renowned for her powerhouse vocals and razor sharp wit. 


Hailed as ’a must see!’ (L.A. TIMES) and “absolutely hilarious” (TIME OUT) the titilating chanteuse combines her wickedly inviting sense of humour and dynamic voice, exhilarating audiences wherever she goes.  

In 2018 Catherine made her triumphant USA and Sydney Opera House debut in her most famous role as The Divine Miss Bette, her smash hit show channelling Bette Midler, winning her the Best Cabaret Production in the 2018 Broadway World Awards.

A firm fixture on the festival stage, Catherine has headlined the world’s most celebrated festivals including Sydney Festival, Adelaide Cabaret Festival, Tasmania’s Festival of Voices and Noosa Long Weekend, who later invited Catherine to become their inaugural Festival Ambassador of 2014 and ’15.


Catherine's other theatre credits include her Sydney Theatre Award nominated cabaret Cathartic, the Australian premiere of off-Broadway cult hit 5 Lesbians Eating A Quiche, her award-winning cabaret Go Your Own Way: The Story of Christine McVie and Glen Street Theatre’s Cabaret In The Glen Festival in the role as Artistic Director.

A passionate fundraiser, Catherine has produced multiple campaigns, most notably in 2016 with From Sydney With Love at Sydney Town Hall raising over $70,000 for the victims and families of the heartbreaking Orlando shootings and in 2012 with Floodlight raising over $20,000 for the victims of the devastating QLD floods. 


As an entertainer and host, Catherine has performed for and MC’d some of the world’s biggest brands and events including Apple, Mercedes Benz, Optus, Grant Burge, Special Olympics Australia, Clubs NSW, the SGLBA and Sydney Cabaret Competition. She is a fabulous addition to any event combining her flawless vocals, outrageous wit and unique ability to tailor material in every effort to exploit the latest office scandal or to perfectly suit your event’s theme.

Most recently, and in response to COVID-19, Catherine and a team of Sydney producers, launched a virtual venue from Paddington Town Hall called The Reservoir Room for a five week season where they live streamed a brand new variety show Friday Night Live (Hosted by Rodger Corser and Alcorn) and Saturday evening cabaret and live music hours.


Friday Night Live, now FNL…Alive & Unlocked!  will play a season at Riverside Theatres Parramatta as part of Sydney Festival 2021. Catherine and her new co-host Paul McDermott will be joined by some of Australia’s greatest talent in what will be a true fabulous way to kick off the new year!
