FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, a team of Sydney producers and industry creatives rallied to create The Reservoir Room, featuring a 5 week live-streaming season of cabaret and live music hours including a Friday night variety show called FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE, or FNL, for short (say it 5 times quickly!) hosted by Rodger Corser and Catherine Alcorn, co-hosted. by Verushka Darling and Musically Directed by Daniel Edmonds.
The 5 week season was streamed and shot entirely live from a community television station underneath Paddington Town Hall on Oxford Street, Sydney.
This project kept over 45 industry colleagues from across the sector employed during one of the darkest times the world has faced.

"The Reservoir Room started as a way of creating a space for artists who could not perform live gigs because of the lockdown, but what it did was bring together a large group of people from all the corners of the music and broadcast scenes to put on a show that they could be proud of. This isn’t a Zoom concert with nothing but a laptop and a pair of stock iPhone headphones and a low-quality microphone. This show has over a million dollars of equipment dripping behind the lens. So, if you’re looking for a live performance fix, and like music; then grab a drink, tune in, and be entertained…. I was."
